The Gordanes River empties into a large endorheic lake in the middle of Geatish tribal territory, Draconis Lake. The crystalline waters and sandy shores are revered as the site where Domnir, the Blue Dragon, crashed to earth. Bones have washed to shore throughout the centuries and these “dragon bones” are often sold in Geatish markets, but some claim they are merely the bones of large animals.
The Folk Moot is held by the shores of Draconis Lake in the spring. Here, matters between tribes are decided, sometimes by bloody combat. War chiefs are elected in times of trouble, when the disunited tribes band together. Sometimes, all it takes is a holy man’s word for the tribes to go to war.
