The undead are corpses that have been returned to an animated state. Most are mindless creatures driven by base emotions of hunger and bloodthirst, but some intelligent undead develop cruel mockeries of personalities. All are driven by a deep seated hatred for the living, which many necromancers have found they cannot control.
