Creature
Type: Sea creature
Resembling a humanoid with lobster-like features, tritons are said to be the creations and messengers of Lorenus, god of the sea. They are rarely seen by humans, usually dwelling underwater for their entire lives.
They have a fish-like body, with fins and a tail; but also hooved horse-like forelegs which they use to bash their enemies or — in extreme situations — drag themselves across land. Their pincers are immense and possess extraordinary strength. Below the pincers they have another pair of arms, in which they often carry spears. Antennae on their heads allow them to navigate the seas confidently.
It is said that certain devout priests of Lorenus can summon tritons from the depths. Tritons can survive up to an hour in the open air, though moving on land is difficult for them. Their pincers are incredibly strong, able to break through iron and even steel. Tritons’ scaly hides are the equal of full-plate armor.
