The argus is a horrific creature which is said to wander the burning plains of Abollon. It appears to be a ball of eyes; however, these “eye” stalks are sightless and the argus relies on scent and other senses. The “eye” stalks sting prey and inject paralyzing poison, allowing the argus to ingest the victim.
The argus belches acid from its mouth which corrodes armor and melts flesh. Its hunger never ends. Though the least of all Abollon’s inhabitants, only a mighty warrior of the mortal world could hope to defeat it.
Its body is perfectly suited to floating around in Abollon but in Varda becomes clumsy.
