Creature
Type: Fey
Goblinids are a group of related fey creatures.
GOBLINS
Goblins are a type of fey found in the northern forests. Among the most civilized of fey, they form subterranean towns and weave their own clothing. Goblin-made shoes are highly sought-after by the more intelligent fey. Goblins themselves wear brightly colored hats affixed with bells. They avoid direct combat but are known to stick an ironwood dagger in the back of an enemy.
One variety, the ice goblins, inhabit cold climes and high mountains. They dwell in deep dug-out burrows and are known to throw stones at unaware travelers. Their skin is blue or white.
GRIGS
Solitary and uncivilized, grigs dwell alone in the deep forests of Avenda. They leap about on arched, cricket-like legs and are about a tenth the size of their goblin cousins. They have a poisonous bite which can irritate a human or kill a small fey. They can also harden their bodies to the point where no sword can pierce them.
One variety, the deepwood grigs, are slightly larger and their poison can kill or severely disable a human.
